Free Demo: Summer Reading Club 5/11 at 6:30 p.m.


Course Description This summer, Ms. Eva will host a reading club where elementary students will read age-appropriate books recommended by schools that have a strong reading program. Our free demo class will give you a taste of how student will strengthen their reading skills, build confidence and develop a love for reading. They will be expose to age-appropriate reading materials, learn key reading skills from sight words to comprehension and reading strategies, and engage in lively discussions with teacher and peers.

  • Currently admitted by Stanford University, applied with literature-focused profile

Writing Experience and Awards

  • Studied multiple writing programs since 3rd grade, including journalism, fiction, and poetry writing. Experienced with programs designed for younger children.
  • Published multiple times on 钱江晚报’s 小记者 column and on children literary magazines in elementary school.
  • Took over 8 humanities electives in high school, including creative fiction, creative non-fiction, American contemporary literature, world contemporary literature, contemporary ethics, etc. and received A+ in multiple courses.
  • Her short fictions have earned 1 regional gold key and 2 regional silver key respectively; literary analysis essay was awarded regional honorable mention.
  • Started her own literary translation magazine: The Voyage during high school, and is the senior writer with her own column for the school newspaper, The Pelican.
  • Published poems and fictions for multiple times on her school’s literary magazine: The Horae.
Grade This course is appropriate for 1st to 2nd grade students.
