Course Description	Students will study different types of literature thoughtfully and critically, pick up significant details and identify patterns, and develop a deep and precise understanding of the form, craft, and meaning of a text Our classes cover: theme discussions, vocabulary, literature analysis, in-depth reading, and writing prompts
Teacher	Ms. Aliza from Brighter Bee Academy Ms. Aliza has proudly been an English Language Arts educator for the past 15 years in the New York City Department of Education. She has been with the renowned Anderson school for Gifted and Talented learners for the last 13 years. She has earned a Masters in Elementary Education from Hunter College, and a Masters in Literacy Education from Mercy College. She looks forward to making the bees at Brighter Bee Academy even brighter!
Grade	This course is appropriate for 3rd grade students.
Materials	A literature book which will be sent to parents before class starts You may purchase a hardcopy of The Trumpet of the Swan or a PDF of the story will be shared with you
Class Time	Mondays at 7-8 p.m. EST 14 classes from 9/5-12/12 There is no class on November 21, 2022
